End of Week Delight!

Yesterday evening I came upon this owl. I guess I surprised him first because he flew up from the ground close by where I was and perched in a tree. 

I was so taken with him I walked all around trying to get the best look. At first he was some distance, maybe 50'+ but while I hiked back up to get my camera he obligingly flew closer to the meadow.

Still with my zoom lens he was not big but I played with the photo back here on the computer and this is about as good as it gets for today. 

It was a delightful way to draw curtains on my week.
