Gratitude as the Week Winds Down...
We are loving the weather people lately...they predict rain and we get mostly sun...they predict days and days of mostly cloud and we get mostly sun...so I have to say I am very Grateful for that.
Gratitude runs through me every time I look at what is happening at our place between the house and the garage,
"It just shows what can be done by taking a little trouble," said Eyeore. "Do you see, Pooh? Do you see Piglet? Brains first and then Hard Work." -from The House at Pooh Corner
I am thankful for bodies that heal...I went for a flying leap on Sunday night just before serving dinner to our neighbours, Richard and Noreen and bashed myself up some...cuts, bruises and sore spirits resulted but now by the end of the week I am quite normal except for a renewed friendship with the dentist!
"They're funny things, Accidents. You never have them till you're having them." Winnie-the-Pooh
Today I am thankful for Brenden who helps Sherwin every day and in turn that means he is a great help to me. Sherwin only calls me to help upstairs when a third set of hands are necessary. Oh, those heavy walls...but they are so beautiful I forget the weight when I am able to help.
There is something very encouraging to see projects complete and goals met. Every day I discover something new about my computer. For technology, I am very thankful.
There are many rather ordinary, everyday things that slip by that leave me grateful like:
Grateful I can still have conversations with Mother and we can share a laugh or two. I love to hear her laugh.
Grateful for all of you who listen to me and talk to me...grateful for those Skyping sessions or the phone calls that warm the day. It would be very difficult to live where we do if it weren't for our lovely little communication tools!
"A day without a friend is like a pot without a single drop of honey left inside."
- Winnie-the-Pooh
Grateful for the colours still in my gardens and the tomatoes that continue to ripen in the greenhouse.
Grateful for what one can easily take for granted like my dear husband and children and their children. So thankful for their lives and health and joy they spread around. I am truly blessed.
It is a good thing to set a spell and think of what we can be thankful for and tell me, what brings thankfulness bubbling up in you?

I do love Winne the Pooh quotes--and your grateful moments also.
ReplyDeleteI love the Pooh quotes too! And your gratitude, always.
