End of the Week Thankful Time

In the last 24+ hours our world has become magical...Christmas just oozing out of everywhere!  I keep threatening to put up my Christmas tree and since my family in the south will be having Thanksgiving this coming week it seems like the time is becoming more and more appropriate.

First of all I want to say Thank You for bringing my week to a close in such a peaceful, cleansing fashion.

Yesterday we celebrated Sherwin's birthday!!!  I am particularly thankful that his health and zeal for life have returned.  What a blessing he is!  For him I am truly thankful.

I am thankful for good neighbors who are encouraging and fun.  Sherwin found this mask down at Lucas' and couldn't help but ham it up for us!

We dropped down to our friends on our pre-lunch walk this morning.  Richard and Noreen have great ideas and projects on the go all the time too so we have lots to talk about and advice flies back and forth when we visit.  Here Richard is examining the snow at his front door.

We are hoping that this snowfall will be our one and only 'dump' of the year...you cannot blame a girl for wishful thinking.

Icicles belong on the prairie...

As the end of the day came so quickly, as it does this time of year, I looked out and was thankful for where we live and all the blessings that we enjoy.

Snow makes whiteness where it falls,
The bushes look like popcorn balls.
The places where I always play,
Look like somewhere else today.

Wishing you all a lovely new week filled with all the necessary blessings we so often take for granted.  Tonight, what are you particularly thankful for?

  1. You did have a snow fall alright!!!!We only had a skiff and now it is gone--but last nite I was very thankful for my nice warm home--watching a movie with my little cat, Kasha, on my lap.

  2. We'll need to add to our inch or so that fell today... and that can happen as soon as our plane departs on Tuesday!

You do have a bit of a winter wonderland going on there...
