Today I installed the facia boards on the most difficult side of our new addition... and we had to invent some creative ways to hold the board in the right place so we could nail it home. First time I worked off a ladder to reach 29 feet high on a building. Kind of scary.
This project has given me lots of first time opportunities... and there will be more ahead, no doubt.
This is the first time we have ever purchased a metal roof... and to see the guy make the panels right here on site is totally awesome! I love the finished product too. And it will have about a 50 year life espectancy. So I doubt I will see it replaced in my lifetime.
Now for something a little mundane... I have been doing a bunch of little crochet projects for the very first time. It stretches my brain to work through reading the stitch instructions, and I like it!
Great questions! I had to think for a bit. My first time events are larger scale than trying a new food.

I am trying to commute by bike through the winter.
Both are firsts for me (and will result in me getting a little wet on the way home later today...).
